ALLPACK INDONESIA 2025 is one of Southeast Asia’s leading international exhibitions focused on processing, packaging, automation, and handling technologies for the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and personal care industries.

Details of the event

– Dates: 21–24 October 2025

– Location: JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia

– Range: 1,500+ exhibitors, 75,000+ visitors, 30+ participating countries

The fair focus areas: Processing & packaging machinery, Automation systems, Material handling solutions, Regulatory and safety technologies, Innovations for pharma, cosmetics, and F&B sectors

As we find the event strategic, we take part in that together with our Partner, Rieckermann Indonesia on Hall D1, booth DL007, showcasing our goals:

Premium Tooling, spare parts and other services

Present high-precision tooling solutions tailored for pharmaceutical tabletting and packaging — especially relevant in a region with growing demand for GMP-compliant production.

Booth Reveal & Brand Visibility

New booth designed to attract international Contractors. A strong visual presence reinforces Adamus SA’s reputation for quality and innovation.

Networking with Southeast Asian Pharma Leaders

Engage with manufacturers, regulatory bodies, and potential partners in Indonesia’s rapidly expanding pharmaceutical market.

Regulatory & Compliance Insights

Stay updated on packaging standards, serialisation, and automation trends — useful for refining documentation and product positioning.

Lead Generation & Market Expansion

Capture interest from regional buyers looking for European-grade tooling and documentation support.

Our article describing the technology precision of blistering goods manufacturing is about to be issued on Farmacom, the pharma technology editor.

In this article, our expert highlights precision and reliability as critical factors in the performance of blister machine components. We explore why accurate manufacturing of spare and format parts is essential to ensuring operational efficiency and long-term value. Key topics include:

  • Format Parts: Role and Quality Requirements
  • Downtime Costs and Strategies to Minimise Production Losses
  • Normative Standards and Quality Control Protocols
  • Emerging Technical and Market Trends
  • Automation, Industry 4.0 Integration, and Sustainable Materials

KEY TECHNOLOGICAL CHALLENGES IN TABLET COMPRESSION

Overview of commonly used APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) in tablet manufacturing, with their technological behaviour during compression.

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, the choice of API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) is not only about therapeutic effect — it’s also about technological behaviour during compression.

In ADAMUS S.A., More than tooling, we gather our knowledge daily and advise our customers accordingly.

Some APIs present significant challenges for production terms:

👉 Adhesiveness (stickiness) → APIs like paracetamol or amlodipine tend to adhere to punches and dies, causing picking, sticking, and reduced efficiency.

👉 Corrosiveness → acidic or reactive APIs (e.g., acetylsalicylic acid, atorvastatin) can corrode tooling, demanding protective coatings or specialised steel.

👉 Abrasiveness → APIs such as ibuprofen or naproxen accelerate wear of punches and dies, increasing maintenance costs and downtime.

👉 Inert APIs → others, like metformin or lisinopril, compress smoothly and allow for more stable production.

Understanding these properties is crucial for:

✅ Selecting the right tooling materials and coatings

✅ Optimising formulations with excipients and lubricants

✅ Reducing downtime and extending equipment life

✅ Ensuring consistent product quality and regulatory compliance

As the industry pushes for higher efficiency and sustainability, bridging the gap between formulation science and engineering becomes more important than ever.

❓How does your team approach the balance between API behaviour and tooling durability in tablet production?

See below the common APIS and their characteristics.

⚙️ KEY TECHNOLOGICAL NOTES

  • STICKY APIS → Cause picking/sticking on punches and dies; mitigated with lubricants (e.g., magnesium stearate).
  • ABRASIVE APIS → Accelerate wear of tooling; hardened steel or coatings (e.g., chromium nitride) recommended.
  • CORROSIVE APIS → May react with stainless steel; protective coatings or inert alloys needed.
  • MOISTURE-SENSITIVE APIS → Require controlled humidity and desiccant packaging.
  • LOW-DOSE APIS → Demand high blending uniformity to ensure dose accuracy.
